BOOK CLUB QUESTIONS
Suggestions for a successful book club:
- Ask each book club member to choose one of the following questions or make up their own.
- Set norms about airtime, safe space for personal stories, staying on topic, devices put away.
- Practice active listening, like, “I agree with ___ …” This way book club members feel heard, and ideas are connected.
- Set a timer for questions to make sure everyone’s question is covered.

- How does the title, The Uncommon AP Club, fit the story?
- On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate The Uncommon AP Club, with 1= didn’t like it at all to 10= I loved it! (Write down your number.)

- What was your favorite scene?
- Did you agree or disagree with the petition and why?
- Which team do you think won the debate in chapters 37-39?
- What did you think of the AP Club friends’ plan for social justice?

- Describe a situation when you lied about something and felt justified.
